The "Furniture Plan Girl": Creating Interior Solutions for your home, and more...
Whether you are renovating a small area in your home, or moving to a new residence, I provide Furniture Plan Services that will help relieve the stress and wonder of how everything will fit in your space. I create your vision to arrange your current furniture or purchasing the correct sizing, all based upon your personal needs, function and styling. I also assist with Interior Design, Downsizing and Organizing your spaces.
As a professional Interior Designer, I create custom furniture plans to ensure your furniture items fit comfortably in your home. I work closely with you and your contractual team to provide furniture layouts so you can visualize how your new space will function. In person, I measure new spaces: floors, windows, walls, etc. for the drawing processes. Virtually, we will communicate your needs and ideas, work with your dimensions and photographs to customize the arrangement virtually. Existing furniture will be space planned, new items will be suggested, coordinated and budgeted with you. Projects as small as one room or a full home... Nothing is too large. I love creating these with you.
One of the most overwhelming – and emotional – aspects of downsizing is to sort through a lifetime of memories and possessions. I will help you and your family with the difficult decisions during this process. Categorizing items into subgroups (keep, consign, donate, recycle) helps along the way. I have worked with numerous estate sale and consignment companies, charitable donation facilities, moving companies, etc. Organizing comes naturally to me, whether creating filing systems, arranging closets or storing household items. I can help you set up routines to maintain it all after the initial organizing is complete. Let me help take this stressor off of your hands.
My earlier career in corporate design focused primarily on furniture and materials selections. My responsibilities included: creating budgets, furniture space planning, item selections, procurements and installation. My expertise also includes designing custom window treatments, selecting textiles for reupholstery, finish materials, hardware selections, etc. Challenge me with anything else! I am here to help you pull your space together with a shopping list of services.
As a certified home stager, I work with your belongings and decor to refresh your interior. My experience includes installing your artwork or suggesting new art and decor as needed. If you require more extensive staging to sell your home, I can refer experts to assist you.

Since I was young, I have been drawn to creative interests. Before motherhood and part-time work, I played the full-time corporate interior designer. Still today, I appreciate things that are well-planned, unique, artistic, and full of personality, with beautiful colors, textures and materials. The '09 economy got me when my babies were little and... was I ecstatic! I felt the freedom from long corporate hours, the joy of exploring everything through my kids eyes and I dove straight into a sea of hobbies in order to grow professionally. While a Mom, I immersed myself in researching, "rightsizing", staging, sewing and enjoying a solo business for 18+ years. I balanced my clothing line (Emme Boucou), interior design work, and my family’s rapidly changing schedule. Adapting both my desires and goals became the norm and I am committed to ride the wave. Whether interior design or other interior-related projects, my passion lies in helping others to live simply and beautifully, to express design in its numerous forms, and in giving my best to remain positive and true with everyone I meet.
